"Congratulations Hanley Voices on a wonderful concert last night. After months of hard work and dedication the efforts of everyone paid off big time! I know it was frustrating and it seemed at times rhat the task at hand was all but insurmountable, but we did we did it.
I had an audience member who had never been to one of our concerts before tell me how much she enjoyed the unfamiliar Saint- Saens 'Oratorio de Noel'. What a beautiful work.
And as far as 'Messiah' went I thought we did a beautiful job. It is not an easy piece and I was extremely pleased. Perhaps you could have figured that out from my facial expressions at various points!!
This was my first experience of 'Messiah' with instruments and I was very excited as well as nervous ... special thanks to Richard Duckett who managed so much before, during and after and Nik Rozier for her marvellous Christmas Raffle.
